One Bakersfield is looking for volunteer reporters to cover local concerts, sporting events, high school sports, local news stories, government issues and other news worthy items. as a volunteer reporters you will have a main area of coverage however you will be asked to cover other events if available. as a volunteer reporters you will also be asked to post stories from our local, state and national government of interest to Bakersfield, Ca.
Although this is a volunteer position as a reporter for one Bakersfield their are some perks.
1. You have a voice in the community to help keep Bakersfield informed and up to date.
2. Your stories will be picked up by Google News and have the chance to be seen by the world.
3. As a volunteer reporter you will be issued Press Credentials.
4. As a volunteer reporter you will be able to attend local concerts & events.
What we are looking for is someone who has a passion for writing and can turn a story in to something everyone wants to read and share. We would like you to cover at least 1 story every week and update OneBakersfield on a daily bases with stories emailed to us or retrieved from source websites. Original stories should be at least 250 words and include 2 to 3 photos or more.
