The pilot then informed air traffic controllers at Meadows Field that the engine to the aircraft had failed and he was making an emergency landing on a dirt road approximately ½ mile North of SR-43 and McCombs Ave. When deputies arrived they found the pilot, Ray Lynott, age 50, standing next to his single engine aircraft.
