The Business Conference Nears Sellout of Reserved Seating; Afternoon Passes Announced; Evening Show Details Revealed

Organizers of the Bakersfield Business Conference are confirming that all but around 100 of the 8,500 reserved seats for the full day program have been sold.  Conference Organizer George F. Martin said:

“The support for the 25th Anniversary Conference has been overwhelming both in terms of ticket sales and in continued interest from people calling to learn more, volunteer, and make suggestions.  We’re grateful to everyone in our community for their interest and enthusiasm.”

Beginning July 16, 2010, organizers are offering half-day passes for general admission, theater-style seating during the 2010 Conference’s afternoon program from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. This new half-day pass allows members of the community the opportunity to experience a taste of the Conference for a lower price of admission.  It also allows out-of-town guests the opportunity to make the trek to the Conference a leisurely day trip by traveling to Bakersfield in the morning and arriving for the afternoon program.

Conference Communications Director Brandon Martin said, “The afternoon lineup at the Conference will include Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, The Capitol Steps, and Goldie Hawn, among twenty others.  Standing on its own, our afternoon program is one of the finest platform speaking events in the country and is an incredible value.  Now that admission is more affordable than ever, we’re looking forward to welcoming people who’ve followed our event in the media and supported it through the years, but never had a chance to go and experience it in person.”

Organizers also announced details about the 2010 “Music of Our Lives” evening program.  In years past, the evening program has been included in the price of a full day ticket, but for the 25th Anniversary, a separate ticket will be required to attend the evening picnic, concert, and fireworks spectacular.  It is not necessary to buy a ticket to the day event in order to enjoy the evening festivities.  The concert will begin with “The Winter Dance Party,” the official tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper and continue with early rock and roll pioneer Bobby Vee and country-crossover legend Ronnie Milsap.  Conference organizer George F. Martin said, “During the day, our Conference will contribute to an important discussion on the state of our country leading up to the November mid-term elections, but in the evening we’re going to dance and enjoy ourselves.  The evening program celebrates the good in American popular music and will be an upbeat and
memorable experience.”

Tickets are available at http://www.bakersfieldconference.com or from the Business Conference order line at 371-2204.  Less than 100 reserved seats are available for $475.00.  The newly announced afternoon pass is priced at $165.00.  Evening program tickets are available for $65.00.  Discounts are available for bulk purchases.
