State Senator Roy Ashburn Honors Bakersfield Chamber President/CEO Debbie Moreno as 2010 “Woman of the Year”
Chamber members are invited to stop by for coffee and donuts and to share in the recognition of our Chamber CEO Debbie Moreno has been with the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce for the past 21 years and served as Vice President of Operations at the Chamber before taking over as Presdident/CEO six years ago.
In 1987, the Women’s Caucus began the annual “Woman of the Year” ceremony, as a celebration of remarkable women thourghout California. State legislators honor a woman from their district for contributions and continued service to her community. Senator Ashburn has been participating in the Woman of the Year celebrations since 1997 as a member of the state Assembly through his tenure in the State Senate.
